Fáilte Ireland, the National Tourism Development Authority was established under the National Tourism Development Authority Act, 2003 to guide and promote tourism as a leading indigenous component of the Irish economy. The organisation provides strategic and practical support to develop and sustain Ireland as a high - quality and competitive tourist destination.
Ireland Inspires
Arekibo were commissioned by Fáilte Ireland to develop a flagship internet site to promote Business Tourism for the island or Ireland that must establish Ireland as the ‘Best in Class’ for business related tourism.
The site needed to be a definitive resource that inspires and motivates site users to consider selecting Ireland as the location for their incentive, corporate meeting or conference. Arekibo worked closely with Fáilte Ireland and consulted with the Business Tourism Forum, representatives of Tourism Ireland international offices, branding and strategic consulting agencies to redesign and develop this new online resource.
The new site – www.irelandinspires.com was a launched in June 2006 and is developed upon the Arekibo IMS, which allows Fáilte Ireland to manage all of the content and services available on their new site. The Venue and Accommodation search is integrated through web services from the Fáilte Ireland Tourism Content System that allows users to comprehensively search facilities, hotels and venues across Ireland.
Arekibo have continued to partner with Fáilte Ireland in the development of the Business Tourism Brand and in 2007 launched the German and French version and will be launching a suite of other language versions at the end of 2007, all of which will harness the existing Arekibo IMS framework.
