Know Your Arekibian : Aisling

Nex up on our "Know Your Arekibian" series is Aisling, a senior project manager at Arekibo who loves listening to true crime podcasts and reading.

What was your journey to Arekibo?

I studied Commerce in College and then went on to get my Masters in Marketing. At the time the industry was changing and everything was going digital, so when I left college I focused my job seeking on the digital space. I worked in a smaller Digital Consultancy for a few years before joining Arekibo in 2013.

One thing most people don’t know about you?

I lived in Coventry for 7 years before moving back to Dublin when I was 8. So I had a right brummie accent when I was younger. Innit.

Project you’re most proud of?

The new global digital presence for SmurfitKappa.com, I'm really proud of the overall UX and design and I believe it will really help improve the customer experience.

One thing you can’t work without?

My trusty chair cardigan. There are daily battles on the office temperature here, I need my cardigan on hand so I don't freeze!

Favourite thing about your job?

The diversity. Truly no day is the same as the next and I enjoy being in thick of it.

3 things you have learned during your time in Arekibo?

  • Don't be afraid to ask questions, it's the only way you'll have the answers
  •  User research always throws up something. Make sure to do it and do it early
  •  Don't think the launch date is the end, it's the beginning. Track, Measure and Improve.

Apple or Android? Why?

Apple hands down. The UX and overall finish is better by far.
