Know Your Arekibian: Dave

Next up on our Know Your Arekibian series is Dave O'Keeffe, who joined our team in January as a Content Strategy Lead.

  1. What was your journey to Arekibo?

While working in politics and seeing the effect digital marketing was having on the political landscape, particularly in the US and UK, I decided to study Digital marketing. I had a particular interest and aptitude for digital content and strategy but found limited options for career advancement in the political field (without going fully over to the dark side), I moved to a Fintech company before finding a much more suitable position at Arekibo.

  1. Three things you have learned during your time in Arekibo?

  • That our office at Windsor Place is surrounded by fantastic coffee options.

  • That onboarding while remote working in a global pandemic is.... strange

  • That I should be more aware of the date on April 1st

  1. One thing you can’t work without?

A large cup of coffee and a crushing sense of impending doom (keeps me on my toes)

  2. Favorite thing about your job?

The flexibility of remote vs in the office and the willingness of my colleagues to lend a hand.

  1. One thing most people don’t know about you?

I’m a massive board game nerd with about 100 games in my collection.

  1. One skill you’ve gained since joining Arekibo?

I have been delighted to get to grips with the Sitefinity platform from a content management point of view.

  1. Apple or Android? Why?

Like with all the big questions, religion, politics, or football, I picked a team early and stuck with it (Android)

  1. Personal motto?

Just breathe and go for it!
