Know Your Arekibian: Jordan

Next up on our Know Your Arekibian series is Jordan, who is our Support Manager and deals with our clients daily. Jordan loves watching anime and is really interested in the gaming industry.

What was your journey to Arekibo?

I was working as a Customer Success Manager and studying Digital Marketing. I wanted to explore how to combine the two. Once I met Martin and Luke for an interview and I saw the room for experimentation and opportunity it was very clear to see this is where I belong.

3 things you have learned during your time in Arekibo?

  1. Taking a step back - In recent roles I’d be used to getting a task completed asap as I was usually targeted on speed of resolution. Arekibo have taught me analyse the task first and deliver with perfection.
  2. Embrace change - To welcome changing requirements, even late in development.
  3. Pick up the phone – I’ve came from a heavy email and IM service background. I now know the most efficient and effective method of information to and within a request is by picking up the phone and getting the full story.

Favourite thing about your job?

The transparency and support. From day one, you are filled in on all aspects of the business giving you a full open view of everything going on. My role consists of working with pretty much everyone in the company. I’ve gained so much knowledge collaborating with the industry experts at Arekibo.

One thing you can’t work without?

I love listening to Podcast’s when I can but honestly couldn’t get through the day without Coffee.

What's one skill you've gained since joining Arekibo?

It’s actually 3 and half skills but each CMS I’ve learned to use since joining. When I started I’d basic knowledge of building a website but now I’m quite comfortable across multiple platforms when assisting clients. (The half is Sitecore…)

Apple or Android? Why?

Android – Apple have limitations with cross-platform in a lot of different ways (chargers etc).

What's your personal motto?

‘’I will either find a way or make one”.
