Creating a best in class customer service for members

Credit unions are financial co-operatives that allow their members to save and lend to each other. All Credit unions are not-for-profit and are owned by their members. Credit unions in the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland are represented by the Irish League of Credit Unions (ILCU).

Credit unions affiliated to the ILCU have 3.6 million members throughout the island of Ireland. Their website is a central channel for the ILCU to deliver services and support to their members.

We partnered with the ICLU to redesign their online presence. The objective: to create a new digital platform that would underpin and support their membership, marketing and communications strategy.

Our collaboration with ILCU’s business, marketing and IT teams focused on:

  • creating the information and content architecture to present the business, its services and member proposition
  • designing the visual identity to align the brand and deliver a seamless experience across all devices
  • building the new website on Kentico, the digital experience and content management system
  • developing a range of bespoke loan calculators and a member services including a credit union locator and an affiliate portal for staff and volunteers.
  • launching a blog to deliver tailored content to members & the public and grow awareness, increase lead generation and connect social channels
  • supporting the implementation of GDPR compliance
  • deploying the new platform onto Microsoft Azure to deliver a scalable and cost-effective cloud solution

The new website launched in 2017 is an important communications platform for the ILCU. The website has supported the ICLU to deliver a great experience to all of their members and partners helping build trust and innovation in the financial services market.
