We're looking for a Terminalfour CMS Integration Developer to help deliver robust, accessible and user-focused digital experiences that perform at scale. This is an opportunity to work on complex web projects, collaborate with experienced UX and development teams, and play a key role in the ongoing success of client platforms.
About the Role
As a Terminalfour CMS Integration Developer, you'll be responsible for developing, maintaining and optimising websites built on the Terminalfour platform. You'll work closely with designers, strategists, content teams, and clients to create solutions that are scalable, accessible, and easy to manage. You'll be involved throughout the project lifecycle, from technical discovery and solution architecture to implementation, testing, and ongoing support via our ArekiboCare service.
What You'll Do
- Develop and maintain websites and digital platforms built on Terminalfour CMS
- Create and customise content types, page layouts and site templates
- Develop and integrate responsive front-end components using HTML, CSS and JavaScript
- Build integrations with third-party systems and APIs
- Work closely with UX designers and content specialists to deliver intuitive user experiences
- Develop solutions that meet accessibility, performance and security standards
- Participate in technical discovery, estimation and solution design workshops
- Support content migration and platform upgrades
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across development and production environments
- Contribute to ongoing improvements in development standards and processes
What You'll Bring
Essential Experience
- 5+ years of web development experience
- Experience working with Terminalfour CMS in a development and integration role
- Strong knowledge of HTML5, CSS3 and modern JavaScript
- Experience building node driven solutions (SASS and JS compilation and minification, webpack optimisation and performant delivery)
- Experience working with template-driven CMS platforms
- Understanding of responsive design principles and the ever-evolving CSS landscape
- Experience integrating APIs and external systems
- Familiarity with Git version control and collaborative development workflows
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work directly with clients
Desirable experience
- Experience within Higher Education, Government or Public Sector digital environments
- Knowledge of Java, Velocity Templates or Terminalfour-specific development approaches
- Experience with content migration projects
- Familiarity with accessibility standards (WCAG 2.2 AA)
- Experience with Google Analytics, Tag Manager or digital performance tools
- Understanding of SEO best practices
- Experience working within Agile delivery environments
