Creating a digital platform for An Post Insurance

This month we want to share another successful project go live story, as An Post Insurance’s new website is now live. The project was initiated because An Post Insurance were struggling with the inflexibility of their existing site. Its out of date look and feel did not reflect the core of the business and was not on par with their competitors such as Chill Insurance, Liberty Insurance and Aviva. In 2020 An Post Insurance partnered with Arekibo to design and build their digital platform.

The new digital platform had to include not only first-in-class DXP technology but also reflect the An Post Insurance brand vision in its design, be scalable and secure, have built-in analytics, and be SEO-optimised. The latter was especially important, as SEO plays an important role in their overall digital marketing plan.

We started the project by upgrading the existing CMS to its latest version – Sitefinity 13. In parallel, we worked closely with the An Post Insurance team and their digital partners to completely redesign the website. In the new site we kept the original branded colours but interpreted them in the new modern and customer-first design and UX.

The main body of work was carried out to ensure that the newly built platform would enable painless web content management for the client team. Working closely with the client and carefully evaluating every requirement, our frontend and backend developers, together with the designers and UX specialists, have achieved all the main project objectives. Working on this project, we used a combination of agile and waterfall project management methodologies, running different sprint cycles simultaneously.

Our partnership has resulted in a new, modern, and scalable An Post Insurance website that is SEO-friendly and provides a high level of flexibility for the An Post Insurance digital content management team.
